Before my involvement in still photography, I was involved in making films. Amongst many ‘corporate films’ for National Lottery agencies and others, I had a short film shown on Channel 4 and a full length documentary broadcast on BBC FOUR.

Here’s a running film I made in the spring of 2014.

After reading a piece about him in the local paper, I had the great pleasure of meeting Michael and making a film about his latest book. It was about water hydrant signs. He had sold 7 copies but that did not dent his enthusiasm for what he called ‘these little pieces of brightness’.

I met a local artist and landscape designer who had a tragic tale to tell. “She’s taken over my life … but the council said she had to go.” The destruction of a relationship.

Up close and personal with a young team of sheep shearers who travelled thousands of miles (from the Falkland Islands) for a summer job in Dorset.
